The Grand Canal, a turn of the century Irish pub and restaurant offers a real taste of Ireland. The Boston Globe hails it "the crown jewel in the pub empire, ....with the flair of a 19th century Irish pub, but the effect is very '90's". The pub is named after the premier 18th century 80 mile Irish waterway that connects Dublin to the Shannon and Barrow Rivers, which was constructed to provide easy transportation to Ireland's midlands.

The Grand Canal transports the authentic style of the Victorian Irish pub scene in it's elegence and charm along with it's Irish hospitality, to the Boston market. The Grand Canal has high ceilings to provide a Victorian feel, wood which adds class, antiques to add history and lacey red wallpaper to add a touch of New Orleans style passion. In this pub you'll find such novelties as a priceless grandfather clock rising over the bar, artistic photos of Dublin's Grand Canal, imported Spanish lights, a balcony, an alcove and a working fireplace. The Grand Canal is indeed "bringing back the Rare Old Times".

The Grand Canal, a conversationalist's bar, where great music can be heard, offers 50 micro brews, an extensive wine list, a full international menu, prepared by Executive Chef Jim Gallagher, in heaping portions and hearty fare, with gently priced entrees, unique daily specials, a huge appetizer menu, a Sunday Dixieland Jazz brunch and a traditional American brunch. Irish sessiuns are every Tuesday, music seven nights a week.

The Grand Canal, located in the heart of Boston's historical district, is steps from Faniuel Hall and the new Fleet Center, home of the Boston Bruins and the Boston Celtics.
